MARCOMM Adds More National Awards

University Marketing and Communication (MARCOMM) at Arkansas Tech University has now earned 16 awards for its work during the 2017-18 academic year following the announcement of honors from Higher Education Marketing Report and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

According to its web page, the mission of ATU MARCOMM is to “meet the university’s web, marketing and communication needs by creating meaningful, authentic and strategic content that builds brand affinity and motivates positive constituent response.”

Higher Education Marketing Report’s 33rd annual Educational Advertising Awards presented ATU MARCOMM with gold awards for:

  • Imprinted materials category, “Heck Yeah, Tech Yeah” T-shirt
  • Magazine advertising series category, “More Than” campaign
  • Radio single spot category, “The Natural Choice”

Higher Education Marketing Report presented ATU MARCOMM with a silver award for its explore.atu.edu website.

CASE District IV also conferred four awards upon ATU MARCOMM.

An e-mail to prospective students that utilized a GIF video took a silver commendation.

A video encouraging members of the Tech community to donate to the Fight On Fund and the explore.atu.edu website earned bronze awards, while a magazine design layout entitled “Not Your Average Story” won honorable mention.

ATU MARCOMM previously earned eight national awards in the fifth annual Education Digital Marketing Awards sponsored by Higher Education Marketing Report. Those honors were announced in January 2018.
