Twin siblings from Bentonville High School took home the top prize in the finals of the seventh annual Arkansas Tech University High School Business Challenge on Friday, April 5, at Doc Bryan Student Services Center Lecture Hall in Russellville.
Arjun and Arthi Krishna captured the $500 first place award with their business concept “Tekkusave.”

Second place went to Lakeside High School students Courtney Cranton and Nicole Meier, while team PAJ-Candyland from Russellville High School earned third place.
Dardanelle High School, Harmony Grove High School (Benton), Mount Vernon-Enola High School and three additional teams from Russellville High School also participated in the competition finals.
Leo Cantu of Regions Bank, Dr. David Pumphrey of the ATU College of Business faculty and Sara King of ATU student organization Enactus served as judges.
The annual contest, which is presented by the ATU College of Business, provides high school students with an opportunity to develop a marketable idea, create a business plan and then present the concept to a panel of judges.
Criteria includes the quality of the business start-up or expansion idea, organization and structure, marketing, profitability, resources and professionalism.
Sponsors for the 2019 competition included Farm Bureau of Pope County, Textbook Brokers and Enactus.
