Banner to Give Black History Month Keynote

Grammy award winner David Banner has been selected to present the 2019 Black History Month keynote address at Arkansas Tech University.

Banner will speak at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, in Witherspoon Auditorium, 407 West Q Street in Russellville.

Admission will be free and open to the public.

Banner is a rapper, record producer, actor, activist and philanthropist who was born in Brookhaven, Miss., and raised in Jackson, Miss.

He won his Grammy award in 2010 for his production on Lil Wayne’s album “Tha Carter III.”

Black History Month events at ATU are planned and coordinated by the ATU Department of Diversity and Inclusion (DDI).
