New Tutoring Resource at ATU-Ozark

One student’s e-mail reaction upon hearing that Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus now has a biology/anatomy tutor: “Thank the lord!! This is great news!”

This might be your reaction too if you are taking Introduction to Biology, Survey of Chemistry or Human Anatomical Structure and need a little help.

Mikyla Osman is the Student Success Center’s new biology/anatomy/chemistry tutor. Sporting a grade point average of 3.667, Osman is seeking an Associate of Applied Science degree in nursing.

“I am enthusiastic about seeing everyone succeed,” said Osman. “I would love to play a part in students’ success.”

Osman tutors in the ATU-Ozark Student Success Center in room 140 of the Technology and Academic Support Building Mondays 8 a.m.-1 p.m., Tuesdays 8 a.m.-noon and Thursdays 3:30-4:30 p.m.

The tutoring is free, and walk-ins are welcome. No appointments are necessary.

“Mikyla is an excellent addition to the Ozark Campus tutoring staff, and she has already helped some students who were having trouble with either Introduction to Biology or anatomy,” said Mike Bogue, ATU-Ozark student success coordinator. “I know she would be glad to help more.”
