Leadership Franklin Co. Prepares for 2016-17

Leadership Franklin County, a 10-month program that offers participants an overview of Franklin County and the region, is accepting nominations and applications for the 2016-17 class.

Laura Rudolph, director of public and external relations at Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus, serves as facilitator for the program.

“The class will focus on strengths, challenges, needs and overall issues facing our region,” said Rudolph. “Sessions will cover diverse topics such as leadership and team building skills, economy and regionalism, volunteerism and community service, healthcare, history, law, government and education.”

Rudolph added that leadership development, an in-depth knowledge of Franklin County, community impact projects and networking are the primary services that Leadership Franklin County provides to participants and the community.

Selection criteria include, but are not limited to, demonstrated leadership or potential leadership ability and commitment to the community.

“Every effort is made to build a diverse, well-rounded class representative of Franklin County and surrounding areas,” said Rudolph.

The nomination form and application are available at www.atu.edu/ozark/lfc. The deadline for application submission is June 30, 2016.
