Eligible Arkansas Tech University students may apply for the fall 2015 Disabled American Veterans Simpson Turner Chapter 27 Scholarship. In order to qualify for the scholarship, students must have one parent or grandparent who completed honorable service in the U.S. Army, U.S. Marines, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard or Arkansas National Guard. Proof of service is required. Additionally, an applicant must be full-time Arkansas Tech student who is not solely an online student, have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5, demonstrate financial need and submit a statement of need that is no more than 500 words. Individuals meeting the above requirements may apply by completing and returning the Arkansas Tech University Foundation scholarship application, along with two letters of recommendation. Completed applications should be returned to: Arkansas Tech University Office of Development Administration Building 209 1509 North Boulder Ave. Russellville, AR 72801-2222. The deadline to apply is September 11, 2015. Recipients of the scholarship are required to attend one meeting of the DAV Simpson Turner Chapter 27.
