Ribbon Cutting Monday for New Property

Arkansas Tech University will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new piece of property at 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 4.

ATU recently purchased the 84-acre tract adjacent to current university property in the 1600 block of North Phoenix Avenue in Russellville.

Formerly a sod farm, the property is near The Wall indoor climbing center.

The public is invited to attend Monday’s ceremony. Scheduled speakers include Dr. Robin E. Bowen, ATU president; Fritz Kronberger of Russellville, chairman of the ATU Board of Trustees; Rep. Mary Bentley of Perryville, member of the Arkansas House of Representatives representing District 73; and Dr. Judy Cezeaux, dean of the ATU College of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
