College Planning Program Set for Sept. 22

High school students from throughout the Arkansas River Valley will be in Russellville on Thursday, Sept. 22, for an Arkansas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (ArkACRAO) College Planning Program.

The event will be hosted by the Arkansas Tech University Office of Admissions and will expose high school students to information from universities, colleges, vocational-technical schools and military branches.

The daytime session will be from 9-11 a.m. at John E. Tucker Coliseum, while the evening session will be open from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center.

The evening session will also include a financial aid and scholarship information workshop by Niki Schwartz, interim director of student aid at Arkansas Tech. That meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center.

Students from the following areas have been invited to attend the ArkACRAO College Planning Program at Arkansas Tech: Atkins, Bigelow, Booneville, Cedarville, Charleston, Clarksville, County Line (Branch), Danville, Dardanelle, Dover, Hector, J.D. Leftwich (Magazine), Johnson County Westside, Lamar, Marshall, Mayflower, Morrilton, Mountainburg, Mount Vernon/Enola, Mulberry, Nemo Vista, Oark, Ozark, Paris, Perryville, Pottsville, Russellville, Sacred Heart (Morrilton), Scranton, Two Rivers, Union Christian Academy (Fort Smith), Western Yell County and Wonderview.
