ASBTDC Announces April Opportunities

Area small businesses will have the opportunity to attend a variety of training sessions regarding business operations throughout the month of April.

The sessions are hosted by the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center, and the seminars will cover many topics including business strategies and how to market a business in a tough economy.

The regional office of the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center is housed at Arkansas Tech, and it is designed to assist new, existing and expanding businesses by offering a variety of services including consulting, training and market research.

The following seminars will be offered in April:

  • Introduction to QuickBooks – Monday, April 2, 5:30-8:30 p.m., Arkansas Tech University Rothwell Hall Room 133; Cost is $65. Presenter is Brandon Morris of Baron’s, Inc.
  • Continuity of Operations – Wednesday, April 4, 8:30-11:30 a.m., Arkansas Tech University Rothwell Hall Room 308; Cost is $30. Presenters are Tonya Roberts-Young, director of Center for Preparedness and Recovery at Arkansas Tech University.
  • Is Franchising for Me? Lunch & Learn – Tuesday, April 10, time and venue to be announced; Fort Smith, AR; Cost is $40. Presenter is Steve Lucchi of SCORE.
  • Facebok Business Pages (Hands on) – Tuesday, April 17, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Arkansas Tech University Rothwell Hall Room 133; Cost is $30. Presenter is Jennifer Terrell of the Small Business and Technology Development Center.
  • Intermediate QuickBooks – Monday, April 23, 5:30-8:30 p.m., Arkansas Tech University Rothwell Hall Room 133; Cost is $65. Presenter is Brandon Morris of Baron’s, Inc.
  • Low Cost Marketing Techniques – Tuesday, April 24, 5:30-8:30 p.m., Russellville Chamber of Commerce; Cost is $30. Presenter is Jennifer Terrell of the Small Business and Technology Development Center.
