Surtevall Finishes Top 11 at Judson Collegiate

Arkansas Tech University’s Rebecka Surtevall finished tied for 11th in the 2014 Judson Collegiate and Legends Pro-Am Challenge presented by AT&T, which concluded on Monday at the Country Club of Roswell near Atlanta, Ga.

Surtevall returned scores of 73-79-72 for a 54-hole total of 224.

Only four of the 59 participants posted a lower final-round score than the Arkansas Tech senior-to-be from Stockholm, Sweden.

The tournament featured student-athletes from NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA member institutions.

Surtevall is the three-time Great American Conference women’s golf player of the year and the 2013-14 GAC female athlete of the year.

She has won 10 tournament championships through the first three years of her collegiate career, including four individual titles during the 2013-14 academic year. Her third-place finish in the 2014 NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Championships marked the best individual finish in an NCAA national championship in Arkansas Tech history.

Jessica Haigwood of Georgia Regents University Augusta (formerly Augusta State University) won the Judson individual title by nine strokes with a three-day total of 7-under par 206.
