Nagel’s Big Day Lifts Suns Over Hilltoppers

Arkansas Tech University’s Madison Nagel earned a piece of Great American Conference volleyball history during the Golden Suns’ 25-20, 25-8, 27-25 non-conference win over St. Edward’s University at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Friday afternoon.

Nagel made 31 digs in the win, the most by an individual player for a GAC member in a three-set match since the league began competition in 2011.

Kenzie Dozier paced the Arkansas Tech offense with 11 kills, while Hunter Eshnaur and Kaylee Konsella made 10 kills apiece. Amanda Milnick had a team-high 24 assists for the Golden Suns (10-7).

Arkansas Tech will host Philander Smith College (1 p.m.) and Williams Baptist College (5 p.m.) in non-conference play at Tucker Coliseum on Tuesday, Oct. 4.
