Golden Suns Win ATU Invitational Meet

Arkansas Tech University swept the top five spots in the individual standings and won the team title in the ATU Invitational, a cross country meet that was contested on the Tech campus in Russellville on Saturday.

Aubre Gilreath won the individual title with a time of 19 minutes, 27.2 seconds over the 5-kilometer course. She was subsequently named Great American Conference women’s cross country runner of the week.

Halle Gilreath (2nd, 20:00.9), Shannon McLaughlin (3rd, 20:35.8), Maddy Hubbard (4th, 20:37.4), Megan Bradley (5th, 20:54.8), Astrid Christensen (7th, 21:12.5) and Brynn Elliott (8th, 21:36.4) also represented the Golden Suns in the meet.

Arkansas Tech will run in the University of Arkansas-Little Rock Invitational on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Rebsamen Park Golf Course in Little Rock.
