Golden Suns Host Blue Tigers Saturday

Arkansas Tech University women’s basketball will return from the holiday break by hosting Lincoln University (Mo.) for an in-region clash on Saturday, Dec. 30.

Tickets ($5 adults/$3 students and senior citizens) will be available at the Tucker Coliseum ticket office. Those with a valid ATU identification card will be admitted free of charge.

About the Golden Suns: Freshman guard Ke’Vonshaye Stackhouse scored a career-high 17 points and sophomore forward Ryann Goodsell added a career-high 16 points to lead Arkansas Tech to an 80-59 win over Lane College in Tech’s final game before the holiday break on Dec. 14. The Golden Suns rank among the top NCAA Division II teams in the nation in field goal percentage defense (5th, .324), rebound margin (6th, +12.1 per game), offensive rebounds (6th, 18 per game), steals (8th, 13.7 per game) and scoring offense (16th, 82.3 points per game). ATU junior guard Kylie Ladd leads NCAA Division II in steals (4.4 per game).

About the Blue Tigers: Lincoln University is a member of NCAA Division II and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. The Blue Tigers are on a four-game losing streak, the most recent of which was a 66-58 loss to Washburn University on Dec. 18. Senior guard Citlali Lopez (12.5 points per game) is Lincoln’s top scorer. She ranks fourth in the MIAA in 3-point field goals made (2.4 per game).
