ArkACRAO Welcomes High School Students

Students from 22 Arkansas high schools traveled to Arkansas Tech’s Tucker Coliseum to visit with representatives from many colleges, universities and the military at the annual College Planning Program sponsored by Arkansas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (ArkACRAO).

The event will be hosted by the Arkansas Tech University Office of Admissions and will expose high school students to information from universities, colleges, vocational-technical schools, military branches and financial institutions.

Higher education outlets were present from Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas and other neighboring states were available to share news about what they offer.

Most institutions gave goodie bags of information pamphlets and pens or pencils to interested students.

The evening session will also include a financial aid and scholarship information workshop by Shirley Goines, director of financial aid at Arkansas Tech. That meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Doc Bryan Student Services Building Lecture Hall.
