Eshcol to Work with International Students

Danny Eshcol has been hired as an international student advisor in the International and Multicultural Student Services Office (IMSSO) at Arkansas Tech.

Eshcol comes to Arkansas Tech after having recently completed his graduate degree at Iowa State University.

While at Iowa State University, Eshcol says he was heavily involved with the international student office and worked to coordinate orientation activities and programming for international students.

“I’m excited to be at Arkansas Tech,” says Eshcol.  “I’m excited about getting to introduce students to America and the Russellville area with all that it has to offer.”

Eschol says he’s been working on programming since his arrival at Arkansas Tech and is learning the schedule and what activities work well for international students at Tech.  He adds, “Once I know the schedule, I can start to look at new events and programming options that will help enhance the experience for our international students and will provide the students with new perspectives.”

Eschol says his goal is to help international students find a home at Arkansas Tech.

“I want to help the students find a community and connect early,” he explains.  “I also want to see greater interaction between the international students and the greater university community. I am excited about the opportunity to do that at Arkansas Tech.”
