Jenkins Earns Coaching Job at Texas Tech

Former Arkansas Tech golfer Jeff Jenkins has landed a coaching position with one of the top NCAA Division I golf programs in the nation.

Jenkins, a 2002 graduate of Arkansas Tech, will become an assistant men’s golf coach at Texas Tech University.

The Red Raiders reached the national quarterfinals of the 2010 NCAA Tournament and finished the season ranked in the top 10 in the country.

A native of Van Buren, Jenkins earned All-America honors at Arkansas Tech in 2001 after posting a season scoring average of 73.6. He was All-Gulf South Conference in 2000 and 2001.

Jenkins has spent the last two years as an assistant golf coach at the University of Central Arkansas.
