The Arkansas Tech University Department of Music will present the 30th annual Fall Brass Showcase Sunday afternoon in the Witherspoon Building Auditorium.
The free concert is set to begin 2:30 p.m. and will feature performances by the Arkansas Tech University Brass Choir and the Arkansas Tech Trombone Ensemble.
Volta Andy Anders, who served on the Arkansas Tech faculty for 40 years, will return to the podium as a guest conductor during the concert.
Anders served as the brass choir director beginning in 1969, and he formed the first trombone ensemble at Arkansas Tech.
He’ll join the brass choir to conduct “Voluntary on Old 100th” by Purcell.
