Business Students to Hear From Alumnus

Arkansas Tech University alumnus Russell Apple will be the keynote speaker for the 2017 ATU College of Business College to Career Conference on Thursday, Nov. 2.

Apple will speak from 11 a.m.-noon in the Doc Bryan Student Services Center Lecture Hall. Attendance is open to students and faculty in the ATU College of Business.

A 1999 graduate of Arkansas Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree, Apple majored in accounting at ATU. He has been employed by First National Bank of Fort Smith since 2006 and holds the position of senior vice president for risk management.

ATU College of Business students will also have an opportunity to attend panels from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday. The panels will include 18 industry experts in the fields of accounting (Rothwell Hall room 138), management and marketing (W.O. Young Building Ballroom), business data analytics (Rothwell Hall room 212) and economics and finance (Rothwell Hall room 311).
