ArkAHPERD Honors ATU Alumna Walters

Diane Walters, former member of the faculty at Arkansas Tech University, has received the Arkansas Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (ArkAHPERD) Lifetime Achievement Award.

Walters was honored during the 2018 ArkAHPERD Conference in Conway.

A 1975 graduate of Arkansas Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree, Walters returned to the classroom to earn Master of Education degrees in physical education and elementary education from ATU.

Her service to education including teaching physical education at the K-12 level and performing the duties of adjunct instructor in the ATU Department of Health and Physical Education. She joined the Tech faculty on a full-time basis in 2009 and remained in that role until her retirement on June 30, 2015.
