New Department Heads Named in Business

Dr. Lisa Toms, dean of the Arkansas Tech University College of Business, has announced a modified organizational structure for the college she oversees.

Dr. Kim Troboy will serve as interim head for the Department of Management and Marketing and Tracy Cole will be interim head for the Department of Accounting and Economics during the 2018-19 academic year.

Troboy (photographed, left) is professor of management information systems at ATU. She has been a member of the Arkansas Tech faculty since 2002. Troboy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas Tech. She earned her Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Arkansas and her Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of North Texas.

Cole (photographed, right) holds the faculty rank of associate professor of legal studies. She joined the ATU faculty in 2007. Cole holds a Bachelor of Science in Education degree and a Master of Education degree from the University of Arkansas. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

The ATU College of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Students in the college may pursue Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degrees in accounting, business data analytics, economics and finance, management and marketing as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in business education and a Master of Business Administration degree.
