MARCOMM Earns National Marketing Awards

University Marketing and Communication (MARCOMM) at Arkansas Tech University has earned eight national awards in the fifth annual Education Digital Marketing Awards sponsored by Higher Education Marketing Report.

ATU MARCOMM captured two gold awards and a bronze award for its creation of prospective student-oriented website explore.atu.edu. It also won a gold award for a digital video ad entitled “Adventure is Calling.”

A video featuring the ATU spirit squads received a silver award in the special video category, while MARCOMM was recognized for its social media work with a silver award for the ATU Facebook page and a bronze award for the ATU Instagram feed.

A digital video ad created by ATU MARCOMM entitled “The Natural Choice” was tabbed for a merit award.

“It is wonderful to see our staff members in marketing and communication recognized on a national level for their outstanding work in 2017,” said Dr. Blake Bedsole, vice president for enrollment management. “They took on the challenge of producing all of ATU’s marketing content in-house, and they responded to that challenge by producing work that stacks up against the best anywhere in America.”
