Leadership Tech Cohort 3 Facilitators Named

Six members of the Arkansas Tech University community have volunteered and been selected to serve as facilitators for the third cohort of Leadership Tech.

Dr. Mary B. Gunter, chief of staff and chair of the Leadership Tech governing council, led the new facilitators through an orientation at the Center for Leadership and Learning on Tuesday, July 10.

The Leadership Tech cohort three facilitators are:

  • Dr. Jeff Aulgur, College of eTech interim dean and associate professor of professional studies
  • Kim DuVall Renteria, instructor of criminal justice
  • Dr. Jeff Robertson, College of Natural and Health Sciences dean, Graduate College interim dean and professor of astrophysics
  • Dr. Sandy Smith, head of the Department of Emergency Management and professor of emergency management
  • David Spicer, ATU-Ozark public safety officer
  • Dr. Johnette Moody, associate professor of computer and information science

The group was joined by Leadership Tech alumni facilitators Carrie Phillips of University Marketing and Communication (MARCOMM) and Aubrey Holt of the Division of Student Affairs. Phillips is serving as vice chair for selection and Holt is serving as vice chair for curricula on the Leadership Tech Governing Council.

Additional alumni facilitators who continue to contribute to the program include Jana Crouch, associate director for enrollment in the Office of Admissions; Melanie Diffey, career counselor in Norman Career Services; Amy Pennington, associate vice president for student affairs, dean of students and Title IX coordinator; Dr. Jeremy Schwehm, associate professor of professional studies; Bruce Sikes, chancellor for ATU-Ozark Campus; and Brooke Southard, director of payroll.

The mission of Leadership Tech is “to develop and enhance the leadership knowledge, skills and abilities of all individuals as well as the collective leadership capacity of the university in order to achieve unparalleled excellence in serving our students, community supporters and institutional family.”

The program’s third cohort convened for an orientation in spring 2018 and will begin its program in earnest this fall.
