Three members of the Arkansas Tech University faculty have been recognized for their contributions to the campus community with a 2017 Faculty Award of Excellence.
Tracy Cole, associate professor of legal studies, is the 2017 Arkansas Tech Faculty Award of Excellence winner in the teaching category.
Dr. Joshua Lockyer, associate professor of anthropology, won the 2017 Arkansas Tech Faculty Award of Excellence in the scholarship and creative activity category.
Dr. Johnette Moody, associate professor of computer and information science, received the 2017 Arkansas Tech Faculty Award of Excellence in the service category.
The Arkansas Tech Faculty Awards of Excellence were founded in 1996. To be eligible, a faculty member must be tenured and hold the current rank of associate professor or professor.
The 2017 recipients were announced during spring commencement ceremonies at Arkansas Tech on May 12-13.
Cole has served on the Arkansas Tech faculty since 2007. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education degree and a Master of Education degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Lockyer joined the Arkansas Tech faculty in 2011. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Arizona and his Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Georgia.
Moody became an Arkansas Tech faculty member in 1997. She earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees from Arkansas Tech University. Her Doctor of Business Administration degree came from Argosy University.
