Choudhury to Speak Friday Afternoon

Dr. Rajib Choudhury, assistant professor of chemistry at Arkansas Tech University, will offer the second ATU Interdisciplinary Research Series lecture of the spring 2018 semester on Friday, Feb. 23.

The presentation, entitled “Luminescent-based Facile Detection of Human Serum Albumin: A Potential Tool for Point-of-Care Medical Diagnosis,” will begin at 3:30 p.m. in Dr. Robert Charles Brown and Jill Lestage Brown Hall room 134.

Choudhury will discuss his project to develop suitable compounds for easy and cost-effective detection of human serum albumin (HSA) in biological samples, a protein used to diagnose and detect disease.

A reception will follow. All members of the university community are invited to attend.
