Campus Community Invited to Final Exam

Five teams of three Arkansas Tech University students will compete for culinary bragging rights during Cass Capen-Housley’s principles of food preparation class final examination on Monday, Dec. 11.

The competition, which will be carried out in the style of the Food Network’s “Chopped” television program, will take place from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in Williamson Hall Dining Room. Members of the campus community are invited to attend. Snacks will be served.

Judges will include Shane Henderson, executive chef at Ben E. Keith Foods; Dr. Patricia Buford, associate dean in the ATU College of Engineering and Applied Sciences; Liz Chrisman, director of photography for University Marketing and Communication at Arkansas Tech; Dr. Jim Collins, retired professor of horticulture at ATU;  and Bethany Swindell, visiting instructor of emergency management at ATU.
