Arkansas Tech University students may take advantage of the statewide sales tax-free weekend by shopping for books and other school supplies Aug. 6-7.
The Arkansas Tech Bookstore, located in the W.O. Young Building at 209 West O Street in Russellville, will be open Saturday, Aug. 6, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 7, from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Because of the sales tax holiday, textbook rentals and purchases will be discounted approximately 9%.
Additionally, Arkansas Tech gifts, apparel and school supplies will be discounted an extra 25%
Students may shop online at www.atu.edu/bookstore from 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7, with all of the same discounts as in-store.
Students wishing to use financial aid to purchase textbooks and supplies should contact the bookstore for more information.
Textbook Brokers, located at 1400 North Arkansas Avenue in Russellville, will be open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, and Sunday, Aug. 7. Its specials include a 9% savings on textbooks.
