Arkansas Tech University awarded nearly 700 degrees during Commencement ceremonies at Tucker Coliseum over the weekend.

Students earning degrees were recognized during one of three ceremonies.

Prior to each ceremony, students were also able to pay tribute to those who helped them succeed.

Open House Provides Information about Tech

Hundreds of prospective students converged on the Arkansas Tech University Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center Saturday morning for the annual Tech Open House.

During the event, representatives from every degree program offered at Tech were on hand to answer questions and speak with prospective students about educational opportunities available at Tech.

Prospective students were also able to tour campus, speak with personnel about the admission process and learn more about campus housing.

Carter Named 2015 Homecoming Queen

Arkansas Tech University students have selected senior Stephanie Carter as their 2015 Homecoming queen.

Carter, a rehabilitation science major from Van Buren, was named the queen during Saturday’s pregame festivities at Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field.

She was nominated for the Homecoming court by Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. She is active in Zeta Tau Alpha, National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Greek Programming Board. She has served as a resident assistant, an orientation leader and a student ambassador.

Her parents are Tony and Sherri Carter.

Upon graduating from Arkansas Tech, she hopes to pursue a career in counseling or occupational therapy.

Students Take Part in Big Money Bingo

Arkansas Tech University students enjoyed a night of bingo as part of Homecoming Week festivities.

Tech students packed the Doc Bryan Lecture Hall for several rounds of bingo in hopes of winning a variety of prizes.

The event was hosted by the Arkansas Tech Student Activities Board.
