‘Ready to Work’ Program a Success

The health information technology program hosted a “Ready to Work” fair on Nov. 4, in the Student Services Conference Center for all health information technology, human services and business technology students.

Students had the opportunity to speak to a panel about what employers are looking for from regional employment professionals. They provided information on job searches, interviews, professional attire and more.

Panelists included:

  • Doug Rideout, owner of Netscript, which provides transcription, coding and consulting services out of Clarksville.
  • Shirla Moody, of Medical Office Systems in Russellville.
  • Carol Helmbacher, of TEC Staffing Solutions.
  • SSGT. Chris Hale, United States Air Force recruitment.
  • SSGT. Jonathan Taylor, United States Air Force recruitment

Local businesses also supplied clothing for professional attire demonstrations: A Touch of Class, of Ozark; Rags and Lisa’s Top to Bottom, both of Van Buren. Refreshments were provided by Paul’s Bakery out of Van Buren.
