Ozark Campus sets new spring-enrollment record

With a preliminary enrollment of 1,651 students this spring semester, Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus once again has increased its spring student enrollment and set another record.

Arkansas Tech-Ozark’s spring enrollment has increased 17 percent from 2011, which saw an enrollment of 1,406, and 36 percent since 2010, which had 1,210 students. All three figures have been spring-enrollment records for the campus.

Spring 2012 enrollment figures became official at the end of Friday, Jan. 27, the 11th day of classes for the semester.

Richard Harris, chief student officer, said, “Arkansas Tech University-Ozark campus continues to fulfill its mission of providing quality education to the people of the River Valley. It is my belief that this commitment to access continues to allow this campus to grow each year.”

The fall 2011 semester also was a record enrollment for Arkansas Tech-Ozark – up almost 500 percent since 2003, when it joined the Arkansas Tech University family.

Arkansas Tech-Ozark has expanded program offerings with the addition of the Arkansas Tech Career Center in Russellville and Health Information Technology and Viticulture programs, as well as the newly Arkansas Department of Higher Education-approved Registered Nurse program.
