Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus hosted a community event on Thursday, April 19, announcing an expansion by Bank of the Ozarks.
During the event, it was announced that the bank will expand into a new 36,671-square foot facility in downtown Ozark.
Gov. Asa Hutchinson noted that the expansion will create as many as 133 new jobs over the next five years.
The expansion is in conjunction with a planned name change for Bank of the Ozarks. Bank shareholders will vote on the possibility of changing the name to Bank OZK during a meeting on May 7, 2018.
