ATU-Ozark Hosts ACT Prep Workshop

Area high school students looking to improve their ACT scores attended the Chad Cargill ACT test prep workshop at Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus on Tuesday, Oct. 3.

The event was from 9 a.m.-noon. Workshop topics included tips on the ACT test as a whole as well as the individual sections of math, science, reading and English.

“This workshop has taken students to a new level on the ACT test, time and time again,” said Laura Rudolph, director of community outreach for ATU-Ozark. “Students are always amazed at how Chad Cargill has mastered this test and is able to pass on that knowledge. His humor and positive attitude are added bonuses that always keeps the students engaged and excited throughout the presentation.”

Schools represented included Alma, Fort Smith Northside, Fort Smith Southside, Oark, Ozark, Pottsville and Van Buren. A number of area home school students also attended the workshop, which included lunch for each participant.
