More than 25 alumni gathered at Arkansas Tech University Saturday to begin planning ways to include alumni in the centennial festivities that will be happening throughout the next two years.Following the group planning session, alumni divided into groups to organize decade reunions. Each decade will have a separate reunion during homecoming.
Homecoming festivities this fall will mark the first of two centennial homecomings, and the dates for homecoming are October 16-17.
Julie Morgan, assistant to the president and on-campus coordinator of the centennial, said the group came up with several ways to engage and encourage alumni to take an active role in celebrating Tech’s Centennial. She added, “I was pleased with the progress made during the meeting. Everyone seemed to enjoy working with other proud Tech alumni. I want to thank all those who gave of their time to help support their alma mater.”
