Tech Delegation Visits Local School

A group of coaches, student-athletes, spirit squad members and one four-legged representative of Arkansas Tech University visited with students at St. John’s Elementary School in Russellville on Tuesday, Feb. 2.

The students learned about the importance of a college education and fun facts about Arkansas Tech’s intercollegiate athletics program.

Arkansas Tech head volleyball coach Kristy Bayer, head football coach Raymond Monica, student-athletes from both of their programs, members of the Arkansas Tech Cheerleaders and members of the Arkansas Tech Golden Girls dance team were among those representing the university. The St. John’s students received Tech-themed prizes for correctly answering trivia questions.

The St. John’s students also greeted Jerry the Bulldog, campus ambassador at Arkansas Tech (photographed).
