RVCAC, ATU Set to Open New Resource

Arkansas Tech University and the River Valley Child Advocacy Center will host an open house and ribbon cutting at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, at ATU’s Crabaugh House, 2206 Red Hill Lane in Russellville.

Those scheduled to speak include Susan Hutchinson, first lady of Arkansas; Dr. Robin E. Bowen, ATU president; Marilyn Sanders, RVCAC executive director; and Marti Wilkerson, RVCAC Board of Directors president.

ATU and RVCAC signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in October 2017 that provides a safe space for children who are possible victims of abuse or neglect to be interviewed by the proper authorities.

As a result of the MOU, the RVCAC will have access to the Crabaugh House on the ATU campus in Russellville and be able to coordinate interviews there on an as-needed basis.
