DuPont Pioneer Donates to ATU Ag Program

The Arkansas Tech University Department of Agriculture has announced that DuPont Pioneer donated $5,000 toward the Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE) Institute hosted at Arkansas Tech as part of the DuPont Pioneer sponsorship program.

“As we start our third year hosting CASE Institutes at Arkansas Tech, this grant will be instrumental in the success of our program,” said Dr. Lucas D. Maxwell, assistant professor of agricultural education at ATU. “CASE allows teachers to bring science and math into their ag programs across the state, allowing students to learn more about real world application in the classroom.”

Maxwell was instrumental in applying for and receiving the grant for Arkansas Tech. The grant will help pay for expenses related to the program and will be used for publicity purposes.

Pioneer makes contributions to community-based organizations on behalf of the business and employees. Consideration for outreach grants is given to communities where Pioneer sales representatives, DuPont Pioneer employees and customers live and work and that support quality-of-life initiatives to create an improved, sustainable lifestyle for people worldwide.
