Members of the Pope County community and beyond seeking more information about online education opportunities available through Arkansas Tech University will have a chance to meet with faculty and staff on Wednesday, April 26.
The ATU College of eTech will host a Pope County Education Fair from 1-7 p.m. at the Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce, located at 708 West Main Street in Russellville. Admission will be free and open to the public.
Online degrees available through Arkansas Tech include associate degrees in business technology, logistics management, general education and early childhood education (pre-kindergarten; this program does not lead to public school teaching licensure); and bachelor degrees in emergency management, RN to BSN, professional studies, business administration (management and marketing option only) and history.
In addition, Arkansas Tech offers online master degrees in business administration, college student personnel, emergency management and homeland security, health informatics, teaching English to speakers of other languages, educational leadership, special education (K-12) and an online educational specialist degree.
Students may also gain certificates in advising (college student personnel), business technology (technical certificate), law enforcement (certificate of proficiency), law enforcement (technical certificate), office support specialist (certificate of proficiency) and professional leadership (certificate of proficiency) through online learning at Arkansas Tech.
As a further service to the local community, the Arkansas Tech College of eTech has the capacity to offer hundreds of online, instructor-facilitated employee training courses through a partnership with ed2go. Subject areas for the continuing education courses include accounting and finance, business, college readiness, computer applications, graphic design, healthcare, language and arts, legal studies, personal development, teaching, technology and writing.
