Members of the Arkansas Tech University community will have an opportunity to cast a line, win prizes and share a few laughs during the inaugural ATU Office of Campus Recreation fishing tournament on Saturday, Sept. 23.
The event will take place from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at Pleasant View Park in Russellville. There will be no entry fee. ATU students, faculty, staff and citizens of the surrounding area are invited to participate.
Prizes will be awarded for first, last, longest, shortest, biggest and smallest fish caught. Rules will be disseminated at the check-in table on the day of the event. All participants must have a fishing license prior to fishing. There will be an opportunity for individuals to purchase a fishing license online at the event site.
