ATU Choirs Set to Close Out 2017-18

The Arkansas Tech University choral music program will offer its final performance of the 2017-18 academic year on Tuesday, April 17.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Witherspoon Auditorium, 407 West Q Street in Russellville. Admission will be free and open to the public.

Ensembles scheduled to perform include the ATU Concert Chorale, the ATU Concert Men, the ATU Concert Women and the ATU Chamber Choir.

Dr. Christopher H. Harris serves as director of choral studies at ATU. Two of his compositions, “My Way Home” and “For You, I Sing Alleluia,” are among the pieces scheduled for performance on Tuesday night.

The Tech choirs will also perform works composed by Claudio Monteverdi, Eriks Esenvalds, Vaclovas Augustinas, David N. Childs, Sara Bareilles, Morten Lauridsen and Nolan Williams Jr., as well as pieces arranged by Jeffrey L. Ames, Moses Hogan and Ward Swingle.

Brian Conatser serves as collaborative pianist for the ATU choirs.
