ASBTDC Announces January Training Sessions

The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center regional office at Arkansas Tech University has announced training opportunities during the month of January 2017.

Local small businesses have the opportunity to attend ASBTDC training workshops on a variety of business operations. The workshops cover business creation, management and operation.

The regional office of the ASBTDC at Arkansas Tech is designed to assist new, existing and expanding businesses by offering a variety of services including free one-to-one confidential consulting, low cost or free training and free market research.

Primary areas of assistance include start-up planning, financial analysis, market research, loan packaging, online and traditional marketing, growth and expansion, management and profitability.

Website in a Day | Jan. 11
The Arkansas Tech Small Business and Technology Development Center presents “Website in a Day” on Jan. 11 from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. Does your business need a website? Have you been held back by a lack of funds or technical skills? Come sit down in our computer lab and design a free website using Weebly. Step-by-step, we will help you create a free account and an attractive, functional, five-page website. Cost to attend is $50. QuickBooks Desktop for Beginners | Jan. 31
The Arkansas Tech Small Business and Technology Development Center presents two hands-on workshops for QuickBooks Pro, Premier, and Enterprise software users on Jan. 31 at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. The 8:30 a.m.-noon session, QuickBooks for Beginners, is designed for business owners and their employees with little or no experience using QuickBooks desktop software. Topics include company set up, transactions, working with lists, reconciling accounts, and more. The 1-4:30 p.m. session, QuickBooks Day-to-Day Basics, includes working with invoices, payments, bills, inventory and reports. A computer is provided during each interactive session.
