Wonder Boys, Warriors Meet for 146th Time

A men’s basketball series that is more than a century old will resume on Wednesday, Dec. 13, when Arkansas Tech University welcomes Hendrix College to Tucker Coliseum in Russellville for a non-conference contest.

The third game in the recorded history of Arkansas Tech men’s basketball was a 26-24 win over Hendrix College during the 1914-15 season. It was the first of 145 meetings between the two programs from then through 1992.

Hendrix left the Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference at the end of the 1991-92 season, and the Wonder Boys and the Warriors have not faced each other in basketball since their final AIC meeting — an 84-74 Tech win on Feb. 13, 1992.

Tickets ($5 adults, $3 students/senior citizens) will be available at the door on Wednesday night. Those with a valid ATU identification card will be admitted free of charge.
