Arkansas Tech University’s Josh Watkins was named Great American Conference baseball player of the week on Monday, Feb. 8.
Watkins, a senior outfielder from Hope Hull, Ala., went 8-for-14 with two runs batted in, four runs scored, two doubles and a triple to help the Wonder Boys take 2-of-3 games from Missouri Western State University on Saturday and Sunday.
Arkansas Tech (3-3) will face Northwest Missouri State University for a non-conference, neutral-site game at Arkadelphia on Friday, Feb. 12. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
