Game One: Arkansas Tech 5, NSU 0 Reigning Great American Conference pitcher of the week Sydnee Clark tossed a three-hit shutout and Kambri Hill hit two home runs to lead Arkansas Tech to a 5-0 victory against Northeastern State in Wednesday’s opener. Clark (5-2) struck out five batters and did not allow a single RiverHawk base runner to reach third base. Hill was 2-for-2 with four runs batted in. Both of her two-run home runs cleared the left field fence, one in the fourth inning and the other in the sixth inning. Alicia Lowrey drove in the Golden Suns’ other run on a second-inning RBI single. Game Two: Arkansas Tech 5, NSU 1 Alexa Wimberly and Miranda Dupree drove in two runs apiece and Arkansas Tech completed a doubleheader sweep by defeating Northeastern State 5-1 in the nightcap. Kelsie Barker (2-1) pitched a complete game for the Golden Suns. She limited the RiverHawks to one run in six hits.]]>
