Game One: Tech 5, HU 2

Makenzie Addis’ big fly in the bottom of the sixth inning was the difference in a 5-2 Arkansas Tech triumph over Harding in game one on Wednesday.

Addis sent a three-run home run over the fence in left-center field to break a 2-2 tie.

ATU relief pitcher Bailey Shaffer (10-2) retired the Lady Bisons without incident in the top of the seventh inning to seal the deal.

Shaffer held Harding scoreless on two hits over three and one-third innings.

Addis finished 2-for-3 with four runs batted in. Sydnie Henson drove in the Suns’ other run.

Game Two: HU 4, Tech 1

Harding’s Madi Trump flipped the script in game two on Wednesday with a three-run home run of her own to propel the Lady Bisons past Arkansas Tech 4-1.

Trump’s blast to left field broke a 1-1 tie. Emma Dwyer emerged from the Harding bullpen to get the final three outs and strand three runners on base for her fourth save of 2018.

HU starting pitcher Emily Garrett (8-4) scattered eight hits over six innings.

Janie Knowles was 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Golden Suns.
