Golden Suns in 11th at Midpoint in Houston

Arkansas Tech University returned a team score of 318 on Thursday during day two of the 2018 NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Championships at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas.

The Golden Suns’ 36-hole total of 623 puts them in 11th place among a 12-team field with 36 holes remaining.

The University of Indianapolis is in first place at 3-under par 573 through two rounds. The Greyhounds are 15 strokes in front of their nearest competition.

Pia Nunbhakdi (T-18th, 72-76-148) and Peerada Piddon (T-22nd, 71-78-149) are Arkansas Tech’s top individual performers through two days of competition.

Allie Weiner (T-66th, 80-83-163), Holly Standing (68th, 82-82-164) and Avery Struck (69th, 84-82-166) are also competing in Houston for the Golden Suns.

Kylie Raines from the University of Indianapolis holds the 36-hole lead in the individual standings at 3-under 141.

The season-ending tournament will continue through Saturday.
