Golden Suns Extend Winning Streak to 14

Arkansas Tech University completed a 4-0 run through the 2017 Holiday Inn Express Golden Suns Spikefest by defeating the University of Alabama-Huntsville Chargers 22-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-12 at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Saturday.

Allie Anderson and Tabitha Spray had 16 kills apiece for the Golden Suns (14-0), who put themselves in position for a possible national ranking in next week’s American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division II top 25 poll with the victory.

Amanda Milnick added 44 assists and 23 digs for Arkansas Tech.

The Golden Suns will host Harding University (12-1) for a 6 p.m. Great American Conference match at Tucker Coliseum on Tuesday, Sept. 19. Admission will be free.
