Golden Suns Continue Winning Ways

Arkansas Tech University extended its volleyball winning streak to seven consecutive matches with a pair of road Great American Conference wins in Oklahoma on Thursday and Friday.

The Golden Suns (13-5 overall, 7-0 GAC) began their trip with a 18-25, 25-23, 25-23, 28-26 victory over Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant on Thursday.

Hunter Eshnaur had 20 kills and 10 digs for Tech, while Sarita Stegall made 50 assists and 12 digs. Katie Huff and Kaylee Konsella notched 11 kills apiece. Madison Nagel collected 22 digs and Kaci Jackson chipped in 14 digs.

Arkansas Tech traveled to Ada and steamrolled East Central University 25-17, 25-6, 25-23 on Friday.

Eshnaur made 10 kills. Stegall was credited with 25 assists and 13 digs.

The Golden Suns are in sole possession of first place in the GAC volleyball standings with one month remaining in the regular season.

Arkansas Tech will host GAC opponents Southwestern Oklahoma State University at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, and Northwestern Oklahoma State University at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17. Admission to Tucker Coliseum for both matches will be free.
