Tech to Host Community Events for Finalists

Arkansas Tech University will host a series of community receptions to provide alumni and supporters with an opportunity to meet the four finalists to become the 12th president of the institution.

All four community receptions will take place from 4:15-5:30 p.m. in the Chambers Cafeteria West Dining Room at 204 West O Street on the Arkansas Tech campus in Russellville.

Below are the dates for each candidate’s community reception:

Tuesday, April 1
*Dr. Robin E. Bowen, executive vice president and provost, Fitchburg State University

Thursday, April 3
*Dr. J. William Berry, executive vice president and provost, University of Dallas

Tuesday, April 8
*Dr. Rex Gandy, provost, Texas A&M University-Kingsville

Tuesday, April 15
*Dr. Robert J. Marley, vice president for student success, Montana State University

Arkansas Tech is seeking a successor for Dr. Robert C. Brown, who announced on Aug. 23, 2013, that the current academic year would be his last as active president of the university. Brown has served as president at Arkansas Tech since July 1, 1993.
