Fight On Music Festival Picks Opening Act

Charley Crockett will serve as the opening act for the 2017 Fight On Music Festival at Arkansas Tech University on Saturday, Aug. 26.

A blues singer from San Benito, Texas, Crockett will take the stage in advance of a headlining performance by The Turnpike Troubadours.

Admission will be free with a valid ATU identification card. Each student will be permitted to bring one non-university guest to the concert.

ATU alumni may also reserve tickets to the concert for $10 per person.

Entrance to the coliseum will begin at 8 p.m. and the show will start at 9 p.m. No outside food or drinks will be allowed. Backpacks, bags and large purses will not be permitted. There will be no re-entry for individuals exiting the venue.

Crockett released his debut solo album “A Stolen Jewel” and received a Dallas Observer Music Award for best blues act in 2015. He recorded follow-up album “In The Night” in 2016 and played more than 125 shows that year.
